The Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex in Coquitlam, B.C., is using the Audience software platform from Capital Networks, based in Markham, Ont., to support its recently installed digital signage network.

Owned by the city, the integrated ice and aquatic recreational centre is using the signs to keep visitors informed with general facility information, daily listings and upcoming events. Screens located near the entrances, for example, display swimming pool schedules and dressing room assignments, all of which are now automated with the software.

Matrix Video Communications, a local authorized Audience reseller, provided the platform for content creation, management and data automation, along with installation services and ongoing network support. Capital Networks, meanwhile, directly provided production services and software training to the Poirier Complex staff.

The recreational centre features a 2,200-seat arena, a National Hockey League (NHL) regulation size rink, lap and leisure pools, a fitness centre, meeting rooms, banquet halls and a restaurant.
