Roland DGA introduces improved desktop cutter

Roland_CAMM-1_GS-24_desktop_cutterRoland DGA has released a new desktop cutter, the Camm-1 GS-24. With speeds of 510 mm (20 in.) per second, it offers improved precision and cutting power over previous models.

The device includes a redesigned cutting carriage and blade holder, a new liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and 10 times the overlap cutting capabilities of earlier versions. It offers 350 g (12 oz) of downforce, a digital servomotor, perforated cutting capabilities, a blade groove on the apron for manual cutting and a roller base to help keep the feed straight.

The Camm-1 GS-24 can cut a variety of materials, including vinyl, paintmasks, twill, heat-transfer materials, cardstock and magnetic substrates, from 50 to 700 mm (2 to 28 in.) wide, for such applications as vehicle graphics, signs, decals and decorated apparel.
