Willie Jan Bons has been promoted from head of development to CEO of digital signage software provider Net Display Systems (NDS). He succeeds Louis van Geldrop, who was CEO for nearly 20 years before retiring at the end of November.

Bons (pictured) joined NDS 18 years ago as a software developer and was appointed head of development in 2010. He is also the company’s chief technology officer (CTO), so he will combine the responsibilities of two executive roles. He will be supported by Bjørn Pieper as chief commercial officer (CCO) and Arthur Damen as chief marketing officer (CMO).

“With these people, we have a team with enormous experience and expertise in the digital signage market,” says Bons. “We are well-prepared to take the next steps in growing the business.”

Van Geldrop, who co-founded NDS in 1994, will continue to be active as a member of the board.
