2014 Digi Awards honour Canadian companies

The winners of the 2014 Digi Awards have been announced, including several representatives of the Canadian digital signage industry. The annual awards recognize resellers, integrators and service providers.
Cineplex Digital Solutions in Waterloo, Ont., won in the merchandising content category for an in-store interactive system it developed for Rogers retail locations (example pictured). Touch screens allowed customers to explore the features of Motorola’s Moto X smart phone.
Capital Networks in Markham, Ont., won in the audience measurement or participation tool category with its Audience mobile app for near field communication (NFC).
Finally, Christie Digital Systems, which develops video wall and projection technologies in Kitchener, Ont., won in the local retail rollout category for the Barneys New York experiential windows and gallery and in the interactive technology rollout category with Reflect Systems for their Best Buy/Verizon ‘shop-in-shop’ deployment.
