Swiss watchmaker Hublot recently unveiled the official countdown clock for the 2018 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup in Russia. The structure is installed on Manezhaya Square in the centre of Moscow.
Featuring a giant Hublot timepiece, the approximately 4 x 5-m (13 x 16-ft) countdown clock has been designed in keeping with the games’ official branding, using red as the dominant colour to reflect the architectural features of the Kremlin.
Under a sponsorship deal, Hublot is the official timekeeper and the official watch of the FIFA World Cup. Its branding will be visible on referee boards during all of the competition’s matches, as it was during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
