Optimum Graphiques, a print-service provider (PSP) in Laval, Que., recently worked with ND Graphics, as the Canadian distributor of Contra Vision’s see-through vinyl films, to add visual impact to the façade of the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
Following the completion of the new facility’s construction in Montreal, the hospital board wanted to add graphics to the façade’s 234 windows without blocking the patients’ view from the inside. To represent joy and well-being, the board chose an image of a child running in tall grass with balloons.
ND supplied Contra Vision’s 40 per cent transparent Performance film. Optimum printed 0.9 x 1-m (36 x 40-in.) panels for each window, which were then applied by Installation Graphiques Adhezion using a 41-m (135-ft) boom, as the lowest window was 12 m (40 ft) off the ground. The image can reportedly be seen from miles away.
