Wide-format inkjet printer/cutter manufacturer Roland DG has made several changes to its board, including the promotions of directors Hidenori Fujioka to president and David Goward to executive vice-president (EVP).

Fujioka joined Roland in 2014 as an advisor and streamlined its research and development (R&D) process to reach strategic goals more efficiently. He also strengthened and diversified the company’s core technologies to support faster development of new value-added products. As president, he succeeds Masahiro Tomioka, who continues to serve as chair.

Goward, meanwhile, is stepping into Fujioka’s previous role, with responsibility for global sales, marketing and service. He joined U.S.-based subsidiary Roland DGA in 1994 and remains its director and CEO.

At the same time, Katsuhiro Endo has been named outside director, Mitsuhiro Honda has been appointed external audit and supervisory board member and former vice-chair Robert Curtis has retired.
