Mimaki, which manufactures wide-format inkjet printer and cutters, has made organizational changes to its U.S.-based subsidiary, including several executive appointments and the creation of a business planning division.

Yasuhiro Haba has been named president to provide leadership of the organization throughout the Americas. He was previously deputy general manager (GM) of Mimaki Engineering’s sales division in Japan.

Ken VanHorn has been promoted from director of marketing and business development to vice-president (VP) of marketing and operations. Before joining Mimaki in 2014, his career in wide-format printer manufacturing included stints with HP, Electronics for Imaging (EFI) and Roland DGA.

Along with VP of sales Naoya Kawagoshi and GM of service Shinsuke Ooma, Haba and VanHorn will jointly lead Mimaki’s newly formed business planning division, with responsibility for sales and operations across the Americas.
