Astral Out of Home is deploying a new network of 2.1-m (84-in.) ‘4K’ ultra-high-definition (UHD) screens across Quebec City’s Réseau de Transporte de la Capitale (RTC) transit shelters, which an initial rollout of 20 digital signs scheduled for installation by the end of June.
“These digital faces are among the new measures announced when we signed our partnership with RTC last June,” explains Luc Quétel, Astral’s president.
Timed for this summer’s digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising campaigns, the screens will be programmed and controlled remotely from Astral’s control centre to display a loop of six messages, with each appearing for eight seconds at a time. The company has previously deployed digital column and transit shelter posters in Montreal and Toronto.
