Xaar, which manufactures piezoelectric drop-on-demand industrial inkjet printheads, has appointed Oscar Planas director of sales for the Americas. He succeeds Don Whaley, who has shifted focus to Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Planas has more than 30 years’ experience working for companies like 3M, Imation and KPG in North and South America and Southeast Asia. He most recently served as transition manager for Kodak’s Micro three-dimensional (3-D) printing and packaging.
“Oscar brings considerable experience not only across the digital printing spectrum, but also in sales, marketing and business development,” says Doug Edwards, CEO of Xaar. “He will be a great asset as we continue to build our presence in North and South America.”
