CPIA appoints new officers

The Canadian Printing Industries Association (CPIA) recently elected Hemlock Printers president and chief operating officer (COO) Richard Kouwenhoven chair of its board of directors with a unanimous vote at its general meeting.

The appointment is part of an effort to revitalize the organization’s national voice for Canada’s printing industry, with Transcontinental senior vice-president (SVP) Mike McInnes elected secretary and treasurer and both RR Donnelley regional director of business development and strategic solutions Loris Pavan and Twin City Dwyer Printing vice-president (VP) Dave Potje named officers. Kouwenhoven and Pavan represent PrintForward, formerly the British Columbia Printing Industries Association (BCPIA), while McInnes and Potje represent the Ontario Printing and Imaging Association (OPIA).

“We view this as an opportunity to build on CPIA’s legacy,” says Kouwenhoven. “Fostering collaboration among our members is important in an industry where change is constant. We look forward to undertaking this work with our peers in the months ahead.”
