SGIA expands outreach with additional staff

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) has expanded its industry outreach efforts with six staff appointments, including five in newly created positions to handle community development, research support and communications.

Community development managers Sarah Perkins and Joyia Marshall will serve as liaisons to SGIA committees and support related initiatives for each market segment. Perkins joins from ink and coating vendor Marabu North America, while Marshall has been with SGIA since 2006, most recently as conference services manager.

Kate Achelpohl, meanwhile, returns to SGIA as senior manager of public relations (PR) after a stint with the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI) and Sidney Davis joins as social media associate.

Olga Dorokhina has been named research co-ordinator, with responsibility for investigating the industry through data collection, benchmarking analyses, survey design and performance metrics development. Finally, Jessica Maimon joins SGIA’s convention department as meeting planner, handling customer service for SGIA Expo sponsors, exhibitors and attendees.
