Cartonek installs digital finishing system for display graphics

Cartonek, a division of the Aptas Group that produces packaging and graphic arts applications in Sainte-Marie, Que., has installed an Océ ProCut 1600-3XL digital finishing system from Canon Canada.

Already equipped with an Océ Arizona flatbed printer, Cartonek produces merchandising stands and point-of-purchase (POP) displays to complement its unique packaging offerings. The new flatbed cutting system (pictured with, from left to right, Cartonek president Lionel Bisson and Canon account executive Raymond Brideau) will help increase both productivity and versatility.

The ProCut 1600-3XL is produced by the Professional Printing Solutions Group (PPSG), a division that was formed in 2014 after Canon Canada amalgamated Océ-Canada into is operations.
