The National Geographic Society is bringing an outdoor exhibit, ‘Climate Change is Here,’ to the Plaza Bridge in downtown Ottawa’s Confederation Square. The large-scale visual display showcases photos from the society’s reports on the topic throughout the years.
Hosted by Canadian Heritage in partnership with Ingenium, Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation, the free exhibition will run until mid-October. It highlights Canadian research into climate change and the development of mitigation technologies.
“After successful visits to other communities in North America, we are pleased to have this exhibition of dramatic images come back to Ottawa for residents and tourists to enjoy throughout the summer,” says Fernand Proulx, Ingenium’s interim president and CEO.
The travelling exhibition will be displayed concurrently in Edmonton, Portage la Prairie, Man., and Brampton, Ont.
