“Our decision to purchase the Colex Sharpcut flatbed cutter is based on our growth in the signage and display fabrication market over the last five years,” said the company’s managing director, Tony Rubino. “Like our business offering, this installation offers our client base infinite possibilities in contour cutting in a wide range of substrates—from vinyls using a blade to thick, rigid materials using a router. It is our goal to continue to install sophisticated technology to complement our overall business strategy.”
The company believes this device will offer the team the freedom to create virtually any distinctive design, which in turn will allow clients to showcase their brand’s uniqueness.
The equipment can cut multiple substrates, including acrylics, vinyls, and corrugates, thus allowing the shop to expand its capabilities for custom projects, from retail merchandising and signage to packaging, and more. The flatbed cutter will also allow the team to create 2D/3D product display and signage, accessibility signage in braille format, if required, packaging, and any flexible media in-house.
“This addition will contribute to faster throughput and will assist in streamlining our processes to make our entire operation more valuable and cost efficient, said Rubino. “Overall, we want our investments to translate into improved pricing for our customers.”
