Town of Whitby.
The Town of Whitby in Ontario is seeking feedback from residents to help set its wayfinding and signage standard, with the aim of making it easier to navigate to and through Whitby.
By developing this standard, the town will also make it easier for Whitby residents and visitors to access programs and services within the town. This includes signage to help find places like town buildings, parks, recreation centres, and trails, said a town statement.
It is asking residents to complete a short, online survey by September 17 to have your say about your experience navigating Town of Whitby facilities and services. It says the town is committed to providing an inclusive environment where all residents, visitors and employees have equal access to programs, services, facilities and amenities.
The town will collect community feedback and use it to inform recommended standards for wayfinding and signage. The recommended standards will be brought forward to council later this year.
