PPDS has launched its new Android SoC Philips E-Line series, the latest evolution of its range of advanced interactive touch displays for students’ education.

Unveiled at ISE 2022 in Barcelona, Phillips E-Line is PPDS’ most advanced and complete SoC education display range to date, combining the power of a PC, unrivalled hardware and touch technology, dedicated whiteboard, and preinstalled and Cloud-based educational software and features for all levels of education.

Wall mountable and available in 1651 mm (65 in.), 1905 mm (75 in.), and 2184 mm (86 in.) size variants across two model categories, the Philips E-Line has been curated using the latest market feedback and research, with all aspects of design, functionality, usability, and compatibility.

Incorporating the latest education software (including Cloud) and hybrid capabilities from PPDS’ strategic partner, i3Technologies, the new Philips E-Line range features its most accurate and responsive new generation of zero gap, zero latency touch screen technology.

Included on all six models, the new displays offer direct on-screen writing and drawing experiences. This can be achieved using hands, or a passive or active pen. Additionally, a traditional mouse and keyboard can be connected to suit the needs of the user(s), while the optimised screen also supports multi-touch interaction, allowing for multiple users to physically interact with the screen simultaneously without slow down or disruption.

Up to 64 students can securely connect and access the Philips E-Line at the same time, from their own seats using their own personal or provided device (running on ChromeOS, macOS, Windows, iOS or Android). Ideal if social distancing or heightened rules around hygiene are applied or adopted by specific individuals.

Students are also able to interact, share their work, ideas, and findings, and manipulate what’s on screen at the same time using Philips E-Line’s embedded wireless connectivity. All content can be shared and recorded via email or made accessible through the Cloud, reducing the need for excessive and potentially distracting note taking, allowing students to remain engaged at all times.

As part of PPDS’ continued commitment to reducing unnecessary waste, Philips E-Line packaging is also kept to an absolute minimum, without risk of damaging the display. All Philips professional displays are packaged in brown board boxes, with one colour only printing. This ethos is continued through the packaging of pre-production components, with finished products almost fully made of recyclable materials.
