DPAA puts DOOH in focus with November Retail Media Month

DPAA, the global trade association for out-of-home (OOH) media, has announced November as Retail Media Month. The initiative aims to highlight the role of in-store Retail Media Networks in transforming brand advertising through the digital OOH (DOOH) ecosystem. DPAA will provide a series of webinars, events, and digital resources targeting brands, agencies, and retailers.

Retail Media Month will feature multiple events, including a Dell case study on November 6, presented by Displayce, showcasing how programmatic DOOH can drive brand engagement in retail environments. Another key event on November 20, Maximizing In-Store Digital Touchpoints, will address opportunities in brick-and-mortar retail for brands, led by retail media expert Andrew Lipsman. The panel includes speakers from Omnicom Commerce Group and Placer.ai, with Placer AI as the sponsor.

Additionally, DPAA will host its first UK Town Hall on November 20 in London, where experts from Mondelez and Rapport WW will discuss in-store digital media’s role in consumer engagement.

DPAA has also introduced a new Digital Resource Center, providing access to materials including implementation guides, case studies, and measurement tools for retail media networks. The center is part of DPAA’s push to educate and support industry stakeholders on the potential of in-store retail media.

“In-store Retail Media Networks represent huge opportunities for brands and agencies across the globe and is the next frontier of digital out-of-home,” says Barry Frey, president and CEO of DPAA. “With 84% of purchases still occurring in physical stores, the opportunity for brands and retailers to influence shoppers at the moment of truth is unprecedented.”

Retail Media Month will include additional resources such as articles by Andrew Lipsman, video case studies from the DPAA Video Everywhere Summit, and webinars open to non-members.
