PRINTING United Alliance has announced Derrick Nelloms’ appointment as vice-president of PRINTING United Expo. In his new role, Nelloms will oversee the continued growth and success of the Expo, North America’s leading trade show for the printing industry. He will also contribute to optimizing other events within the Alliance’s portfolio.

With more than 30 years of experience in event management and operational planning, Nelloms brings a wealth of expertise to the role. He previously served as operations managing director at Emerald Expositions, leading strategy and execution for major events such as GlobalShop, the Imprinted Sportswear Show, and the Hospitality Design Expo. He also played a key role in launching NBACON and refining operational processes to enhance customer experiences.

“I am excited for the opportunity to build upon the incredible legacy of PRINTING United Expo,” said Nelloms. “Having spent my career in events and operations, I am eager to work with this talented team to drive continued success, deliver unforgettable experiences, and foster growth across the global printing industry.”

Prior to his tenure at Emerald Expositions, Nelloms held a foundational role at the Georgia World Congress Center, where he coordinated large-scale events such as the SGIA Expo, International Home Builders Show, and Supercross BMX Fanfest.

Chris Curran, group president of media and events at PRINTING United Alliance, welcomed Nelloms to the team, noting his deep understanding of event strategy and customer engagement. “Derrick’s leadership and industry expertise are precisely what we need to continue elevating the Expo,” said Curran.
