  • Computer numerical control (CNC) plasma cutter manufacturer Ez Router expanded its facilities in Mineola, Texas, by 2,787 m2 (30,000 sf) with a new addition, including offices, a conference and more space for manufacturing, testing, packaging and shipping the company’s products.
  • LG Electronics Canada, which provides liquid crystal displays (LCDs) for digital signage and other applications, recently moved its headquarters from Mississauga, Ont., to Toronto.
  • Acrylic sheet developer Plaskolite is building a new cell cast acrylic manufacturing facility in Turkey in a joint venture with Isik Plastik, a manufacturer of thermoformed plastics. The facility is scheduled for completion in late 2013.
  • Chemical company AkzoNobel is boosting production capacity at its facility in La Porte, Texas, for key metalorganic (MO) compounds used in the deposition of semiconductor materials for light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Two phases of the plant’s expansion are expected to be complete by late 2013 and mid-2014.
