Christie, a digital display manufacturer in Kitchener, Ont., has published The Book of Shapes, which showcases how designers and architects have used the company’s MicroTile ‘video cubes’ creatively around the world.

“The book is designed to help people think about how a digital canvas can energize and transform a space or solve a business challenge in interesting new ways,” says Kathryn Cress, the company’s vice-president (VP) of global and corporate marketing. “Architects, retail designer, audiovisual (AV) professionals and interactivity experts have gone far beyond a display world defined by rectangles.”

Projects are arranged in categories, including retail, museums, entertainment, broadcast TV, events, shows, higher education and corporate.

The free ‘coffee table book’ was released in print, as a Portable Document Format (PDF) file and as an interactive Apple iPad app at the end of January to coincide with MicroTiles’ third anniversary and with Christie’s presence at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade show in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
