A Signarama franchise in Edmonton has launched its fourth annual ‘Signs of Support’ grant program, which will provide up to $100,000 worth of free and discounted signage to non-profit and charitable organizations in the area.
The program focuses on supporting these organizations’ missions by creating or replacing their signage, including interior, exterior, temporary and permanent signs. Some groups, for example, request signs for fundraising events. Those eligible to apply include local non-profit organizations, local affiliates of registered charities, local non-governmental civic organizations and businesses that are part of Edmonton’s public school system.
Last year, the program awarded grants to nine organizations: the Kids Kottage Foundation, the Canadian Paraplegic Association (CPA), the Mark Mercier Foundation, Al Shamal Shriners, Kids Are the Responsibility of All (KARA) Family Resource Centre (pictured), the Edmonton Food Bank, Santas Anonymous, the Mustard Seed and Edmonton Community Learning.
“From the onset of our business, we have tried to be good stewards to the community,” says Colin Reid, owner of Signarama Edmonton. “It is exciting to offer this grant again and to see many great organizations, all worthy of support, come forward.”
The franchise is accepting applications through March 30, 2013.
