Nasir Hemani, founder of Toronto-based Rapid Signs, was recently revealed as the winner of an Apple iPad from Nova Polymers’ booth at September’s CONSAC trade show.

Nova, which manufactures and distributes photopolymer sign products in Canada and around the world, had worked with Swell Media Group on an e-mail marketing campaign to increase attendee interaction with its booth at the show.

“We collected people’s info through a Sign Media Canada Online e-blast and then at the show,” explains Mike Santos, Nova’s director of sales. “We picked the winner after the show, so we could make sure everyone who came by was added correctly and eligible to win.”

Hemani (pictuerd), who founded Rapid Signs in 1986, says he was excited not only because he didn’t have a tablet computer yet, but especially because he had never won anything before.

Rapid Signs uses direct-to-substrate ultraviolet-curable (UV-curable) and solvent-based inkjet printing, digital die-cutting, computer numerical control (CNC) routing, thermal printing and lamination to produce banners, posters, lettering, decals, architectural signage and vehicle wraps for retailers, financial institutions, schools, hotels, banks and entertainment facilities.
