Graphic film manufacturer Avery Dennison recently announced 16 installers had passed its car wrap certification course this year, including 10 Canadians. Since the program was launched in 2011, more than 40 installers across North America have been certified so far.

The certification process involves a two-part test, including a written exam and a hands-on vehicle wrap installation demonstration. The exam is provided after every car wrap training session organized by Avery and wide-format printer manufacturer Mutoh America, taught by globally recognized installer Justin Pate. This gives attendees the immediate opportunity to put their new skills into practice.

At a session in Toronto (pictured), the newly certified installers included: Brittany Mercedes Blasis from Ottawa-based Harvey Neon & Digital Imaging; William Leduan and Lavstida Yanex at Prime Imaging in Richmond Hill, Ont.; Alex Malykhin of The Silver Sign Media in Concord, Ont.; and Alex Severin at Toronto Sign Services.

Meanwhile, at a session in Burnaby, B.C., those certified included: Razvan Duta, owner of Burnaby-based Vehicle Graphics; Pierre Goyette, who owns a SpeedPro franchise in Vernon, B.C.; Vancouver-based graphic designer Peter Cizmar; Tyson Muller of UnderWraps Advertising in Kamloops, B.C.; and Dan Nisely from a FastSigns franchise in Coquitlam, B.C.

Certified installers and their companies receive free listings on Avery’s online directory at www.carwraps.net.
