Epic Imaging in Burnaby, B.C., has added a second Acuity HD 2504 ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) flatbed printer from Fujifilm Canada to its graphics department.
The display graphics production facility, founded more than five years ago, needed to increase capacity beyond its existing Acuity and two roll-to-roll printers to accommodate rapidly growing business. The new printer’s installation follows the doubling of Epic Imaging’s floor space and addition of several new employees, including sales representatives at the national level.
The Acuity HD 2504 provides full-bleed printing on rigid substrates at speeds up to 16.2 m2 (174 sf) per hour. A roll-to-roll module is optional.
“Purchasing our second Acuity from Fujifilm was an easy decision, as it allows us to serve our customers with even more efficiency,” says Chris Robinson, president of Epic Imaging. “We take pride in our commitment to customer service.”
Epic’s floor graphics, window decals, retail banners, building graphics and other output can already be found all across North America. In 2010, the company garnered international exposure when it produced displays for the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.
