Online voting is now open for the International Sign Association’s (ISA’s) annual sign design competition, which honours outstanding work completed by the trade organization’s member companies. The competition comprises eight categories, includes two that are new this year: banner signs and vinyl graphics; and electronic message centres (EMCs). In addition to category prizes, an overall winner will be named. “The sign design competition serves as a tremendous showcase for the creative and challenging work done by our members every year,” says Lori Anderson, ISA president and CEO. “We encourage anyone interested in the sign industry to enjoy the work that’s been entered and take a minute to vote in support of their favourites.” Website visitors can view and vote for various entries (such as the example, pictured, created for the Molson Canadian Brewhouse by The Sign Depot in Kitchener, Ont.) until March 1 at www.signs.org/EducationEvents/SignDesignCompetition/VoteforyourFavoriteSign.aspx. The winning entries will be displayed at ISA’s 2012 International Sign Expo in Orlando, Fla., from March 21 to 24.
