Advancing the selection

[1]Fujifilm North America has already expanded its recently launched Acuity Advance Select series of wide-format ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) inkjet printers.

While the original Select included eight independent ink channels, the Select-4, Select 4 X2, Select-6 and Select-6 X2 include four or six channels in two different flatbed sizes. The standard models offer a 1.2 x 2.4-m (4 x 8-ft) table, while the X2s boast a 2.4 x 3-m (8 x 10-ft) table.

The four-channel models include cyan, magenta, yellow and key/black (CMYK). The six-channel versions can add clear and white inks (e.g. to add a ‘varnish’ effect or to print on non-white substrates). The eight-channel original accommodates extra cyan and magenta inks.
