Nextech, a Toronto-based provider of augmented reality (AR) and wayfinding technologies, has developed new platform to produce human holograms, powered by artificial intelligence (AI).
The platform, known as ARitize Holograms, allows users to create, share, and view human holograms on their smartphones, without the use of a green screen. In just a few minutes, the machine learning (ML) solution processes video capture into a life-sized holographic figure.
According to the company, the app can be used at any event, inside any venue, or at any location throughout a conference or trade show. It is designed to elevate the experience, allow organizers to “sell the airspace” or create new sponsorship opportunities, and provide a unique tool to engage with attendees, speakers, and event partners.
The company showcased the platform at the International Association of Exhibits and Events (IAEE) expo in Louisville, Ky., where attendees were invited to try it out throughout the show floor.
