Ice hockey equipment manufacturer Bauer recently began using digital signage to deliver video content to its leading retail partners in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
Bauer Hockey, which was founded in 1927 in Kitchener, Ont., is operating its ‘community-based’ display system with an online software platform from ScreenScape Networks, based in Charlottetown.
“We first used ScreenScape to deliver our marketing messages to customers through our retail partners in Canada,” says Darryl Hughes, Bauer Hockey’s marketing director. “Then, based on increasing demand, we expanded our partnership to additional locations, the U.S. and Europe. Our goal is to have our in-store digital signage program operational across the globe by the end of the year.”
“We are delighted to see brands tap into the power of this technology and go global with it,” says Kevin Dwyer, president and CEO of ScreenScape. “Anyone looking for ways to engage directly with today’s consumers can learn a lot from Bauer Hockey’s example.”
