Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ont., has chosen Omnivex’s Moxie software to manage an extensive digital signage network, which includes conference and meeting room displays, wayfinding signs, menu boards and other screens throughout its facilities.
The resort (pictured) will use Moxie, developed in Concord, Ont., to consolidate an earlier system whereby it deployed and maintained three separate digital signage software products. As this configuration proved too labour-intensive, Blue Mountain was seeking to streamline operations and administration.
“Our primary goal is to have one centrally managed digital signage system that is flexible and scalable,” explains John Gowers, the resort’s director of information technology (IT). “After an evaluation process, we selected this software to address all of our requirements with one comprehensive platform.”
The network is intended to improve the guest experience by providing access to information when and where visitors need it, through interactive wayfinding applications. Each department will have local access to Moxie, so content can be customized for specific needs, while a primary operator will maintain control of certain ‘global’ assets.
“The software will tie into our existing systems, such as event booking for the meeting rooms,” says Gowers. “Our employees can continue with their existing workflows and the software will automatically reflect that information on the appropriate screens, with no need for additional training or process changes.”
