Bolt Signs in London, Ont., has installed a Designjet L26500 industrial printer from HP Canada to help reduce its turnaround times and provide environmentally friendlier options with durable aqueous ‘latex’ inks.

“We were concerned with fumes from inks, but the latex technology allows our team to work within a safer environment,” says John Carolino, owner. “The inks produce extremely low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), plus there is no special ventilation required.”

The inks also contribute to the machine’s advantages in terms of efficiency and ease of use.

“Prints are dry as soon as they’re produced, so we’re able to finish or use them immediately,” says Carolino.

Established in 1995, Bolt Signs is a full-production large-format printing shop with two locations. It specializes in indoor and mobile signage and vehicle wraps for customers in commercial and manufacturing industries, among others.
