Montreal-based digital signage software developer BroadSign has introduced Xpress Pro, its second media player.
Xpress Pro runs on a quad-core Intel processor and the Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro operating system (OS). It offers 2 GB of random access memory (RAM) and 32 GB of storage and is twice as powerful as its predecessor, the Xpress, but only about half the size.
The media player extends BroadSign’s product line with new features and capabilities. Rather than simply follow instructions from a server, it is programmable and can automate content management for vending machines, gas pump displays and other complicated digital signage networks.
Xpress Pro is currently being beta-tested and should be available in the third quarter of 2015.
