Toronto-based ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky recently wrapped taxicabs in London, England, in three different graphic schemes to promote the upcoming World Pride 2014 event in Toronto. The out-of-home (OOH) campaign was carried out by London’s Transport Media.
Featuring the World Pride logo and the slogan ‘Ride with Toronto Pride,’ the wraps include: a bright pink design with ‘fur;’ a black studded leather esthetic; and an iconic rainbow flag with glitter effects. The three exterior designs were complemented by World Pride-branded receipt pads and seat ads inside the taxis, featuring the slogan, “If you think this cab is gay, wait until you see Toronto in 2014.”
The four-week OOH campaign began in mid-July, targeting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) communities in London’s Vauxhall and Soho neighbourhoods.
“I am extremely happy to promote one of the world’s largest Pride events,” says John Kehoe, Transport Media’s managing director. “Outdoor advertising is a great tool for getting up close to a target audience. The high-impact design and visibility of these taxis will surely raise awareness of World Pride 2014.”
