Canadian CTO continues to serve DSF

Jeff Kent, chief technology officer (CTO) for Toronto-based Cineplex Entertainment, has been elected to serve on the Digital Signage Federation’s (DSF’s) executive committee in 2017 as treasurer.

Kent’s information technology (IT) experience in the entertainment industry includes stints with Alliance Atlantis Communications and the Canadian Opera Company (COC). As Cineplex’s CTO, he has overseen many digital signage projects and sits on the board of directors and the technology committee for the U.S.-based National Association of Theater Owners (NATO).

With DSF’s latest election, Kent joins a new roster of officers that also includes Richard Ventura of NEC Display Solutions as chair, Randy Dearborn of MGM Resorts International as past-chair, Spencer Graham of West Virginia University as vice-chair and Len Dudis of Grupo Vidanta as secretary.
