Cadillac Fairview’s (CF’s) shopping centres across Canada have been marking the arrival of spring with a series of dynamic displays, artful decor and interactive installations, featuring seasonal floral themes.
Five light-emitting diode (LED) ‘gardens of light’ (see video) have been installed at the Chinook Centre in Calgary, Sherway Gardens and Fairview Mall in Toronto, Rideau Centre in Ottawa and Promenades in St-Bruno, Que., where they will remain until Apr. 28. Each garden of between 1,600 and 4,000 LED ‘flowers’ features preprogrammed 90-second sound-and-light shows that can be activated by customers via touch pad (pictured).
Meanwhile, 6-m (20-ft) tall artificial Japanese Cherry Blossom installations grace the Chinook Centre and Market Mall in Calgary, Lime Ridge Mall in Hamilton, Eaton Centre in Toronto and Galeries d’Anjou, Que. Finally, there are 7.6 (25-ft) long floral-theme displays and decals at various CF malls.
