[1]‘Text and Drive,’ a darkly satirical public service announcement (PSA) that recently ran as a digital out-of-home (DOOH) campaign in Toronto, has won a 2017 Obie Award from the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA).

OAAA handed out its annual awards on May 16 in New Orleans, La. The bronze international award went to Montreal-based agency John St., which displayed its PSA—advertising the fictitious Wathan Funeral Home—on two of Cieslok Media’s digital billboards in May 2016 (pictured, left).

Toronto-based agency Zulu Alpha Kilo was also an Obie finalist this year with a ParticipAction hopscotch game that ran as a floor graphic (pictured, below) along the pedestrian tunnel to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (BBTCA).
