On Earth Day (April 22), 3M Canada launched the Extreme Wrap Challenge, its first sign industry contest designed to recognize the exceptional work of graphics fabricators and installers across the country.
The two-tiered contest begins with a qualifying round. Until July 31, Canadian sign shops can upload high-resolution photos of their most ‘extreme’ 3M graphic film projects, which will be eligible for monthly draws for $100 branded prepaid cards. A panel of four judges, including Sign Media Canada editor Peter Saunders, will review the entries and determine three finalists.
The finalists will receive $500 branded prepaid cards and framed images of their submissions before moving on to the second round, a skill-based competition in Toronto on September 23, where they will wrap graphics on extreme curves, in extreme temperatures and on extreme textures. All will earn prizes, with the first-place winner receiving a seven-night all-inclusive vacation in Costa Rica.
