The International Sign Association (ISA) recently revealed the winners of its annual Sign Design Competition—most of whom were Canadian signmakers—during the International Sign Expo in Orlando, Fla.

The competition has been held online for the past three years, with entrants encouraged to share completed sign projects via social media to draw votes. Participation among ISA members has increased each of those years. “By sharing their entries with the public, sign companies are able to encourage a broader base of votes and promote their business in their communities,” says Sarah Singleton, ISA’s director of marketing. The Canadian winners included Signex Manufacturing in Kenora, Ont. (example pictured), Turner Signs in Calgary and Just for You Signs & Design in Tara, Ont. Their winning projects will be showcased in the May 2012 issue of Sign Media Canada and the full list of winners is available at www.signs.org/2012winners.
