JaysShop[1] Several customers of software developer Omnivex, based in Concord, Ont., have won Interactive Customer Experience (ICX) Association Excellence Awards for their digital signage deployments.

The Toronto Blue Jays’ flagship store, which was designed by Shikatani Lacroix and opened in 2014 in Toronto’s Eaton Centre (see Sign Media Canada, May 2015, page 56), was honoured for best retail deployment of digital signage (pictured, above).

The University of Toronto’s (U of T’s) Joseph L. Rotman School of Management was recognized for best government, education or non-profit deployment (pictured, middle). The school uses Omnivex’s Moxie software to provide directions, news and event updates.

Finally, a series of wayfinding touch screens at California’s San Francisco International Airport (SFO) won for best travel/hospitality deployment (pictured, bottom).

“We are very excited that SFO, Rotman and the Jays Shop won these awards,” says Doug Bannister, CEO of Omnivex. “It is fantastic to see their efforts recognized.”
