Professional car-wrap installer Justin Pate will teach another series of classes this year on behalf of wide-format piezoelectric printer vendor Mutoh America and pressure-sensitive material manufacturer Avery Dennison.
Each three-day training course will start with two days focusing on Pate’s Universal Graphic Installation System (UGIS) methods, including tips, tricks and tools for efficient wrapping (see Sign Media Canada, November 2011, page 40). He will discuss pre-application cleaning, graphic film properties, layout, key panels, graphic registration and troubleshooting, among other topics.
The third day will include Avery Dennison’s certification training and a session on design, layout and customer service led by vehicle wrapping consultant Todd LaBrie.
Student registration was opened on January 6 for classes running from March through October. Most of these will be in the U.S., but the series will also visit Canada on June 7 to 9 with classes in Toronto (specific location yet to be announced).
