Fab Stanghieri, a longstanding executive with Canadian film exhibitor Cineplex, has been promoted to general manager (GM) of the company’s digital signage division, Cineplex Digital Media (CDM). He succeeds Nick Prigionero, president, who is retiring.
Stanghieri has been part of CDM’s senior leadership team for seven years, most recently serving as senior vice-president (SVP) of business development, account services and marketing.
Effective Jan. 1, he has transitioned to his new role and also serves as executive vice-president (EVP) of Cineplex.
Prigionero was one of the founding partners of EK3, which Cineplex acquired and renamed CDM in 2013. He will retire on Apr. 1 after 17 years in the digital signage industry.
