For the Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ performance during the 2014 Super Bowl Halftime Show, Pearl Drums commissioned Brand Imaging Group (BIG) to wrap a custom kit with graphics. It was played by drummer Chad Smith.

The specially built drum kit was designed to be split in two sets—representing the National Football League’s (NFL’s) American Football Conference (AFC) and National Football Conference (NFC)—after the game and auctioned off by February 7 to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  As such, each set was decorated with all of its respective team logos.

In addition to the NFL graphics, the clear polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) drum kit included limited-edition Sabian cymbals and a Drumlite lighting package.
