Christie is the official displays and projections partner for Expo 2020 Dubai.
Christie has been appointed as the official displays and projections partner for Expo 2020 Dubai. The audiovisual technologies company will supply and manage all display screens for the event. The firm will showcase its laser projection technology, including more than 250 of its D4K40-RGB (red, green, and blue) projectors to create life-like evolving scenes on Al Wasl Plaza’s giant 130-m (426.5-ft) wide projection surface.
“We aim to create an unrivalled experience at Expo 2020 and spectacular visuals on the giant Al Wasl Plaza dome will be an iconic part of this,” said the Expo’s chief development and delivery officer Ahmed Al Khatib.
Twenty-five million visitors are expected to attend the event; approximately 70 per cent are expected to come from outside the U.A.E. This will be the largest number of international visitors in the 168-year history of World Expos.
This is the first time the event will be held in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region. More than 200 international participants, including countries, corporations, multi-national organizations, and educational institutions will explore the theme of ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.’
Christie’s audiovisual innovations have been featured in Hollywood blockbusters and major sporting events.
