SIGN COMPETITION

The SAC-ACE Sign Competition is an opportunity to recognize and promote excellence in the Canadian sign industry by showcasing and celebrating the outstanding work of our members.

Visit the HUB on the trade show floor to see all of the entries and finalists. The awards will be presented at the Friday Night Event. Join us and celebrate with the winners!

CREATIVE COMPETITION

This year, SAC-ACE presented a Creative Competition that challenged designers to develop an original graphic with set guidelines and a culinary twist. The designers showcased their sign knowledge by using an exterior building sketch and adding signage that factored in colours, finishing, lighting, location, business type and bylaws. Join us as we celebrate the winning designer at the Friday Night Event!

Friday, September 23: 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 2:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 24: 10:15 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 1:30 p.m.
Wrap Feature Area

New for 2016 is a two-stage Design and Wrap Competition. In the first stage, designers submitted a graphic for a car hood, based on specific criteria. In the second stage, wrap professionals attending the show will be contestants on both Friday and Saturday in the show floor’s Wrap Feature Area, showcasing their talents and demonstrating their hands-on experience. Contestants will be judged on their skills wrapping replica car hoods using the winning graphic design as their inspiration. Prizes will be awarded for the best work.

Drop by the Wrap Feature Area to sign up for the contest. Space is limited and allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tools and materials will be provided; you just need to provide your wrapping talents and expertise!

The sponsors of the Design and Wrap Competition—3M Canada and Arlon Graphics—will also be on hand to provide ‘wrap show and tell’ product demonstrations:
