Content flies onto Calgary Airport Holiday Inn screen

Holiday Inn’s Calgary Airport location has implemented a new digital signage system to improve customer service by showcasing flight schedules, weather updates, events and hotel amenities.

The hotel’s managers had identified the need to provide real-time airport departure andarrival data, including cancellations and delays, and to welcome guests and delegates with up-to-date conference and business meeting information.

Calgary-based E Display installed a commercial-grade slim-bezel 1.5-m (60-in.) liquid crystal display (LCD) in the hotel’s lobby, networked it with a dedicated media player personal computer (PC) running digital signage software and prepared a custom screen layout template to showcase the content. The company also trained hotel staff to operate the system, including how to change the layout as needed.
