Digital billboards honour 50th anniversary of Canada’s flag

flag1[1] On February 15, outdoor advertising firm Astral Out-of-Home commemorated the 50th anniversary of Canada’s flag with a special one-day digital out-of-home (DOOH) campaign in major markets across the country.

An image of the iconic flag, alongside the tagline ‘Proudly Flying for 50 Years,’ rotated across Astral’s digital billboards. The company integrated the creative content into its regularly scheduled digital network ‘loop’ and estimates it was seen by nearly half a million Canadians throughout the day.

“We are a proud Canadian company and we thought this was a great way to celebrate our country,” says Ron Hutchinson, senior vice-president (SVP) of real estate services for Astral. “Through our digital network, we are able to change content on the fly and get timely messages like this one out to Canadians.”
