Light-emitting diode (LED) display manufacturer NanoLumens has appointed Vishnu Rao director of software service and platforms. He will report to chief technology officer (CTO) Gary Feather.
Rao is a product development specialist and joins NanoLumens from Sharp Electronics, where he held key strategy and planning roles in developing and launching consumer liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and related accessories. He earned patents for user interface, connected platform, big data and server technologies.
“I’m very excited to join a team at the cutting edge of display technology,” he says. “We’re at the cusp of redefining how digital out-of-home (DOOH) signage and ‘smart’ platforms converge to bring about the next generation of visualization.”
