The 2013 Digital Signage Expo (DSE), which was held in Las Vegas, Nev., at the end of February, broke previous records for numbers of exhibitors, conference attendees and international visitors.
Despite a snowstorm that closed airports, the 10th annual digital signage conference and trade show attracted 4,080 qualified attendees to the Las Vegas Convention Center, marking a 1.4 per cent increase over 2012, including international visitors from 77 countries, up from 69 the previous year. The conference portion, in particular, saw attendance jump by nine per cent over 2012.
Most significantly, the trade show’s 211 exhibitors represented an increase of 22 per cent over 2012. Their booths filled 6,401 m2 (68,895 sf) of floor space, which was 10.3 per cent more than last year.
“The show was a success by all quantitative measures,” says Chris Gibbs, president of Exponation, which produces DSE. “Exhibitor satisfaction was so high, the show floor for 2014 is already close to 80 per cent sold out.”
Next year’s DSE will move to the Sands Expo & Convention Center, also in Las Vegas.
