Digital Signage Expo introduces live professional certification

DSEseminarFor the first time, this year’s Digital Signage Expo (DSE) will offer the Digital Signage Experts Group’s (DSEG’s) certification program as live, full-day courses, allowing participants to interact with instructors and peers.

The Digital Signage Federation (DSF) officially adopted the DSEG certification program for its members in 2010. Since then, hundreds of them have become professionally certified by completing the courses online. At next month’s DSE in Las Vegas, Nev., DSEG will instead offer the courses as in-person pre- and post-show seminars, which can be added to attendees’ conference packages.

“Live interaction with the professional facilitators who created the curricula will add a significant dimension to the learning experience,” says Alan Brawn, co-director of DSEG. “Making certification part of DSE also provides the opportunity to apply new learnings immediately, while networking with vendors and peers on the show floor.”
