[1]Digital screen manufacturer Nanov Display has installed a new customized, outdoor-durable 1.4-m (55-in.) double-sided liquid crystal display (LCD) in landscape mode at Sheridan College’s Hazel McCallion Campus in Oakville, Ont.

The digital sign is part of a larger structure designed by Toronto-based Entro and fabricated by WSI Sign Systems in nearby Bolton, Ont. Nanov’s NMRD-550LCH display features anti-reflection glass and 2,500 cd of luminous intensity to ensure legibility in harsh sunlight, as well as a vandalism-resistant coating. The fully sealed unit carries an Ingress Protection (IP) 65 rating for weatherproofing.

Nanov collaborated with Sheridan College to custom-develop and integrate software with hardware for the display.
